The Magnaload FTF 6x4 with ballast box is a legendary piece of heavy transport history. FTF Was a Dutch truck manufacturer that specialized in heavy duty and special trucks. FTF Built 665 trucks in the period of 1966 to 1994. FTF, Floor Truck Factory, built trucks with a special purpose, resulting in trucks that were mainly used in the army, or as terminaltrucks being used in harbours.
This scale model brings the classic Magnaload FTF 6x4 truck, back to life, complete with ballast box and plenty of authentic details.
The Magnaload FTF was used for heavy transport during the 1960s and 1970s in the United Kingdom and remained in service until 1995. Magnaload, as a subsidiary of Mammoet (formerly Stoof, van Wezel) used this truck extensively.
The Magnaload FTF 6x4 is a remarkable truck, with it's V12 Detroit 2-stroke diesel, it generates great power and a howling noise when under load. With its semi-automatic gearbox it was fit for exceptionally heavy transport tasks.
