The Italian manufacturer Fassi makes hydraulic cranes from one until 200 tonnes, which are installed on trucks, ships and other locations. When Mammoet made the first ballast trailers together with Nooteboom, the question was; how to get the employees back to the office. The idea of a loadcrane, which would be placed on the front of a trailer came up. With this loadcrane, it was possible to lift the pool cars on and off the trailers. Another problem came up, trailers and cranes became bigger and increased in weight. Fassi’s importer brought up the idea of a little crane which could lift the car. Several Fassi cranes are in operation right now.
The collectible of the Mammoet Fassi F50 crane is available in scale 1:50, is produced by IMC Models, has a Mammoet packaging, Mammoet certificate and a special frame. With this frame the Mammoet Fassi crane can be used on other collectibles like the 7 axle ballasttrailer (article 410202_000)
