There were only 3 ALE Faun Goliath's manufactured in 1989 for the company GEC, but operated & maintained by ALE. The Faun Goliath were a leap forward in capability and the mainstay of heavy transport in the United Kingdom. In 2010 the Faun Goliath were send to South Africa. In April 2021, a former ALE colleague bought the Goliath truck that he used to drive during his time at the company. When the truck arrived, it was in poor condition. He started to restore it immediately by removing the transfer box, stripping and replacing worn our bearings, After this, the rotten steel in the cabin and a lot of burned-out wiring was replaced for a lot of newly installed wiring. After all these repairs to get the truck back in proper functioning order the truck was repainted. All of this was done within four months, just in time for a truck show in August. The collectible of the ALE Faun Goliath 8x8 is available in scale 1:50 and is produced by IMC Models. The collectible will be delivered in a Mammoet box with a Mammoet certificate with small booklet with background information.
