The ALE MB Actros 8x8 with ballastbox + 14 axle Scheuerle set comes from the South African fleet of ALE, a few years ago. This time an 8x8 Mercedes-Benz Actros in combination with 14 axle lines Scheuerle divided into two times 4 axle lines and one time 6 axle lines. Especially with this version, the combination can be executed as a trailer where the truck is equipped with a speical ballast box and drawbar. In addition, the truck can be coupled to the axle lines by means of an additional Neck. This is a 4165 AK SLT 8x8 with 480kW (650hp) and 3000Nm with a Turbo Retarder Clutch and a Powershift automatic transmission with 16 gears. The 8x8 all wheel drive provides more traction when driving on slopes with poor road surfaces. Standard suitable for 250T but for shunting on flat terrain even 500T. Due to an additional cooling systeem in the frame behind the cab, all conditions and outside temperatures are workable not only for maximum engine power, but also for maximum retrader braking power. The chassis is reinforced and equipped with a heavy transport drawbar coupling at the front as well as at the rear to be able to carry out the heavy work.
The collectible of the ALE MB Actros 8x8 with ballasbox + 14 axle Scheuerle set is available in scale 1:50 and is produced by WSI Models. The collectible will be delivered in a Mammoet box and certificate is included.
