In the beginning of the year 2000 was the army of Saudi Arabia allowed to build a test vehicle by Mercedes and Schmitz. In the end, the government of Saudi Arabia decided not to choose for this truck. The combination was offered to Nooteboom and this company sold the MB Actros to Mammoet Dubai in 2006. With a fresh new look and in the Mammoet colors, the truck was added to the Mammoet fleet. The truck had a ballastbox as well. The MB Actros was active in the Mammoet fleet until 2018.
The MB Actros 8x8 received the nickname 'The Beast', because of its outstanding qualities and strong prestations.
